About

In the Middle Ages, a Scriptorium (in a monastery) was where monks would gather to copy books and illuminate manuscripts. Today, we can be miles apart but still belong to the same community, working together to build on previous knowledge, explore ideas, and offer our own contributions.

Scriptorium is designed to illuminate the voices of emerging writers. Here we showcase the works of humanities-oriented high-schoolers and undergraduates. We also offer free proofreading, editing, and translation services.

Scriptorium publishes works in any area of the humanities, including but not limited to analytical essays, personal essays, articles, creative nonfiction, short stories, and poetry.
